As an awareness of the Syndrome X phenomenon of insulin resistance spread, researchers and clinicians have begun to understand that many of us who are not diabetic still experience insulin resistance. Responsible scientists began to ask questions about what causes it. The discoveries they are now making are nothing short of revolutionary. They not only offer us the power to slow the rate at which our bodies age. They are experimenting with protocols that can, potentially reverse negative conditions from hypertension, insulin resistance to cholesterol imbalances and depression, simply by changing the way you eat and live.

This experience is one I became fascinated with when, several years ago, I made a television documentary in the Southern Hemisphere called To Age or Not To Age. It asked the question, ?Can we slow aging by making simple nutritional changes?? We also wanted to know ?Might it also be possible to reverse age-related degeneration that has already occurred?? And, finally, ?Can these things be verified in medically measurable ways?? We decided to carry out what is known as a base-line study to find out. We sent all participants to have the standard test of medical parameters checked before the project began?from fasting insulin and blood sugar levels through cholesterol, triglycerides and blood pressure. These were carried out at a hospital which also had an excellent physiology laboratory, where exercise physiologists were able to establish each participant?s VO2Max, body fat percentage and lean body mass to fat ratio.

To my surprise, every participant?including a 50 year old top athlete?showed abnormalities associated with Syndrome X. We then introduced our group to an Insulin Balance way of eating, which I devised. The experiment lasted only 5 weeks. Then we sent all our participants back to the hospital to have their parameters checked again. The results were mind-blowing. We had no idea that, after only 5 weeks of dietary changes, every abnormal medical parameter had normalized, except for cholesterol measurements in one woman, which took another few weeks to normalize.

For me personally, the experiment confirmed yet again that the human body has a phenomenal capacity to heal itself, when given the opportunity to experience transformation at the deepest levels. This is a truth which, for the past four years, I have applied to helping to transform the lives of men and women all over the world, whom I have been mentoring on Cura Romana. The results continue to delight me.

    • They come from what God meant for these bodies to eat. Trust that and you
      will be better off. He made us, I think He knows best for us. I would have

      carb, high fat even the meats are processed with sugars .Its the carbs who

      ) .So no …lean meat has nothing to do with Insulin resistance ….Carbs
      have …You could absolutely have a healthy lifestyle on low carb .And
      veganism is not recommended between doctors.But don’t eat 10000 kcal a day
      from carbs …drive all day long , work somewhere seated and evenings go
      home ,watch tv and sleep like an average American does and don’t expect to
      get Insulin resistance , diabetes, Artheriosclerosis , Malnourishment ,
      Fatty organs, high blood pressure etc …. You should be able to run 10
      hours straight to burn all that…It’s all about balance ! Choose
      unprocessed foods (Meats and vegetables or Fruits ) and porshion Control
      till your stomach reaches the normal size again (after stretching to its
      max ) And nobody would have any problems with these sorts of things!

    86 kg I tried different types of diets but none succeded……I have
    insulin resistance and I dont know what kind of diet should I do
    ……..(please help)

    • See a doctor, I am using low carb high fat diet and I am loosing weight.
      But for your age its very important to see a doctor, ckeck up a good one
      who knows about paleo diet. Good luck

    • try this, make a bowl of spaghetti (200grams uncooked), let it cool down,
      add vegetables (something like: 200g raw keel, 100g spinach, 1 raw union,
      some garlic,) and some salt and pepper (don’t make it to tasty, that’s
      part of the “secret sauce”)
      (about 800 kcal in total)

      -and eat it throughout the day in 5 – 10 portions
      -drink water

      you won’t be hungry

  8. this is how I eat and I feel great and my skin looks amazing people tell me
    all the time. And I do not look my age at all people can’t believe how old
    I really am. I have tried many eating plans but this is the best and the
    more fish I eat the better. With this eating plan you will not only lose
    weight but feel satisfied. Grains and flours are completely unnecessary for
    the body and do more harm to especially the brain. They are foods that
    trigger addictive eating behavior which makes the food industry and the
    medical industry rich and you sick and poor. Sugar supplies the dental
    industry (think about how much you paid your last dental bill). The 30%
    fat, 30% Carb, 40% protein is perfect combination (IMO) however you must
    figure out what percentage works for you. Try to get fat from the foods and
    mix the fat up. I don’t believe in too High of Fat, I think moderate is
    better 30/30/40 the best. And one does not have to go into 20-30 grams of
    carb to lose weight, that is very unhealthy. between 50-100 grams is good
    but it all depends on your level of activity and state of health. You need
    some fruit it will help you fight disease. Fruit is processed through your
    liver unlike other sugars that are processes at the stomach level which is
    where they turn to fat and rest. Do this eating plan for a week and you
    will see results immediately!

    pre-diabetes + “Male Malaise”

    …LOW Testosterone, LOW Libido, LOW Energy, LOW Motivation +… HIGH Belly
    Fat 🙁 My struggle was to WAKE UP & see the results of USDA high carb,
    low fat (low nutrient) eating….

    that Leslie Kenton does not seem to be the slimmest she could be. Is there
    an ultimate limit to that this diet can do?

  13. I had to look up that Kremelta, but it says online that it’s hydrogenated,
    so it’s not good. I have found palm oil shortening that isn’t hydrogenated
    though, and that’s healthy.

    • Hey guys, I really want to share this because I spent many years jumping
      from diet to diet without acheiving any real results until I discovered
      Dianas magic plan (google it). Without doubt its the best results that I

  17. I wonder why she recommends 30% carbohydrates on a diet supposedly based
    around eliminating insulin resistance =-|… Wouldn’t it make more sense to
    keep carbohydrates to a minimum if that’s the goal.

      insulin is uncontroversial – or should be!

    • it’s hard to eat 30% carbs when getting them solely from fruits, at least
      I’ve found it to be. As a standard diet made up of fast and industrially
      prepared packaged foods can be as much as 90-95% carbs, 30% is a damn fine
      carb limited percentage with which to form your macros. However I also
      agree that it did seem as though those numbers were aimed at the athlete
      specifically.

    Korea for a year ! or get rid of your fridge .
    kenogenic diet and red , white meat will give you heart disease , a fatty
    liver , Gallbladder disease and will plug up the pancreas ducts with fat
    and ruin your kidneys .I have a question. Which is worse, millions of
    Africans starving to death or Millions of Americans Eating them selves to
    death ?…Americans eating to death are worse, because they actually “can

    discipline . Those Africans do not have choices but to starve.

    is the lazy human variable. You can lead a horse to water but cant force

  20. Dr McDougals Starch Solution is the opposite of this. he says eat no oils
    and live on potatoes, rice, corn and whole grains, with veg… no meat.
    these are the natural foods we’ve evolved to eat and it reverses Type 2
    Diabetes. carbs are not bad. oils are bad though, any oils. we are designed
    to live on starchy veg.

      test and proved that it’s the main causes of insulin resistance, diabetes
      and many more diseases, go read some books about low carb high fat and
      articles in peer reviewed journals, then pls write a comment on this channel

      fat diets don’t work for. I had Type 2 and live off of potatoes and little
      fat.
