What Causes Diabetes?

DESCRIPTION: Saturated fat can be toxic to the insulin-producing beta cells in the pancreas, explaining why animal fat consumption can impair insulin secretion, not just insulin sensitivity.

  1. cut the sat fat is where it’s at

  2. Andréas Remis Vegan Lifestyle

In response the recent TED talk?

    • +King OfTheUniverse Overweight cow. You are fucking nuts. And nobody said
you have to be skinny as a rail to get Type 2 diabetes. Distance runners
get it because they load up on junk crap carbs. Google Tim Noakes and get
      an education.

    • +Andréas Remis PLANT BASED VEGAN >>> In the next few minutes I’m going to
share with you a little-known diabetes curing secret..

    • +Belda Durand *With typical drugs, diabetes can not be totally curable. The
good news is there’s a confirmed scientific method to treat diabetes
      naturally Go Here >>=====>**diabetestreatment44.blogspot.com.au*

  3. I hope this video goes viral

  4. Can somebody please help me??!! I have severe hypoglycemia and want to be a
HCLF vegan but in order to cure it I need to eat a “balanced diet”. I don’t
want to kill to be saved… can anyone help?

  5. If you want to know what to eat in order to avoid diabetes and be lean and
muscular look at the dietary habits of those that are lean and muscular.
Hmm…lean and muscular? Who would that be? Oh yeah, bodybuilders and
physique competitors. What do they all eat? Lean chicken and rice. Lean
white fish and oatmeal. Egg whites and sweet potatoes. What do all these
foods have in common? Carbs and protein with very little fat. Please point
me to a physique competitor who is winning competitions eating butter? You
    can’t because they don’t exist.

    • Bellybutton Man

+Willard Money Chicken is about 23% saturated fat, white fish about the
same. Just for comparison leanest beef is 30% saturated fat and same with
blue fish (like tuna and mackerel). Chicken and white fish while containing
less fat than their animal cousins, are still very high in fat.
Chicken is not a low-fat food, it’s just a bit lower in fat than beef and
pork, and that’s the truth man.

    • A 4 oz piece of white fish has less than 2 grams of fat most of which is
saturated. If you keep your total fat grams under 30, you will lose fat.

  6. BS. Why do people in France eat plenty of cheese high in fat and have low
rates of diabetes? There is nothing harmful about saturated fat. Why do
the south Sudanese not all become diabetic? All they eat is full fat milk
and milk products. Why no diabetes? Let’s look at the evidence instead of
trying to push veganism. I’m not against veganism, if you want to go
vegan, then do it. Let’s actually look at evidence though, there are many
people around the world consuming high fat food with no chronic disease at
all. Go back to the drawing board.

    • +Peter Stone I’ve spend a long time researching into curing diabetes then
we discovered an awesome resource at Diabetes Crusher Tactic (check it out
      on google)

    • +Peter Stone do you have any study to back that up?

    • Your info may be outmoded. The plantpositive channel has a video showing
scientifically why there really is no “French paradox”. There is also a lot
of info on the few outliers in Africa who consume high saturated fat.

  7. bullshit.

  8. its genetics
    or if you fat

  9. Thanks for this, Dr Greger.

The Doctor Said im Pre Diabetic ?

    • then cut down fats, get rid of processed and industrial “foods”, load up on
veggies and fruit, eat nuts and other healthy fats seperately or with low
calorie veggies, eat lots of fiber and legumes. this will turn it around

  11. Johanan Micaiah

So if i eat too much fruits, that would not give me diabetes?

    • Stefan Rasmussen

      +sienatf2 That is a redo 🙂

    • Not if your diet is low in fat and low in protein (ie 801010, RawTill4)

    • Stefan Rasmussen

Sugar is inflamatory, fat is not 🙂

    • +Stefan Rasmussen dont be mixing up table sugar with with simple carbs in
fruit, its not the same since table sugar has no fiber or nutritional value
      whatsoever.

    • Refined carbs (without the nutrients, antioxidants, polyphenols, fiber, etc
present in whole foods) are inflammatory via production of free radical.
Saturated fats are also inflammatory (modification of gut biome,
endotoxemia, TLR-4 activation, ceramide production, etc).

Saturated fatty acids trigger TLR4-mediated inflammatory response.
Toll-like receptors (TLR) mediate infection-induced inflammation and
sterile inflammation by endogenous molecules. Among the TLR family, TLR4 is
the best understood. However, while its downstream signaling pathways have
been well defined, not all ligands of TLR4 are currently known. Current
evidence suggests that saturated fatty acids (SFA) act as non-microbial
TLR4 agonists, and trigger its inflammatory response. Thus, our present
review provides a new perspective on the potential mechanism by which SFAs
could modulate TLR4-induced inflammatory responses: (1) SFAs can be
recognized by CD14-TLR4-MD2 complex and trigger inflammatory pathways,
similar to lipopolysaccharide (LPS). (2) SFAs lead to modification of gut
microbiota with an overproduction of LPS after a high-fat intake, enhancing
this natural TLR4 ligand. (3) In addition, this metabolic endotoxemia leads
to an oxidative stress thereby producing atherogenic lipids – oxLDL and
oxidized phospholipids – which trigger CD36-TLR4-TLR6 inflammatory
response. (4) Also, the high SFA consumption increases the lipemia and the
mmLDL and oxLDL formation through oxidative modifications of LDL. The
mmLDL, unlike oxLDL, is involved in activation of the CD14-TLR4-MD2
inflammatory pathway. Those molecules can induce TLR4 inflammatory response
by MyD88-dependent and/or MyD88-independent pathways that, in turn,
promotes the expression of proinflammatory transcript factors such as
factor nuclear kappa B (NF-κB), which plays a crucial role in the induction
of inflammatory mediators (cytokines, chemokines, or costimulatory
molecules) implicated in the development and progression of many chronic
      diseases. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/26687466

*This is a very good stuff. [Go Here=== *
    *https://www.fb.com/BeHealthiest/app/190322544333196** ] I am not
overweight, a 37 year old female, yet I have diabetes, and when some know
about it, they first access my slim body, some will be vocal about it, like
I thought diabetes is a disease for the overweight people. Well this book
need to be read by all to warn some not to trust their skinny body to be
    diabetes proof.*

  15. *After 3 years of being diagnosed with diabetes , a year later things have

started with me always feeling tired after eating as if I were drugged.
This will cause me to retire early to bed. I would get very thirsty
sometimes and visited the urinary frequently. I was 55 then and started
gaining some extra pounds. I was so sluggish. Later the diagnosis revealed
I have diabetes and hypertension. But now I feel so much better. I really
    love this stuff.*
